Verene and Jake’s engagement session was simply breathtaking with the perfect mixture of elegance and casual style. These two are such a fun and stunning couple and were a blast to work with. Their engagement session was jaw-dropping from start to finish and I can’t wait to show you some of the highlights from both the Rookery Building and the Chicago Lakefront!

Lakeside Engagement Portraits

Verene and Jake started off their engagement session on the Lakefront by Museum Campus. When we were planning their engagement session, they knew they wanted to incorporate two different sides of Chicago. The more formal architectural side, which we were able to incorporate by going to the Rookery building after this portion of the session. And then they also wanted to include the fun of the lakefront and the Chicago skyline for the first portion! Verene Jake and I had the best time dancing down by the water and popping champagne to celebrate their engagement.

Engagement Session at the Rookery Building

For the second part of Verene and Jake’s engagement session, we took some incredible portraits in the Rookery Building which is in the heart of downtown Chicago. We took full advantage of the elegant architecture and design of the building for their session. Verene and Jake were both dressed to impress as well and fit perfectly in the elegant vibe we were working with the Rookery Building. Verene’s white flowing dress really stole the show though and was so much fun to work with throughout the session. We got some insane portraits with a few of the marble staircases in the building as well as a few of Verene and Jake making out in the doors of the elevator. They seriously looked like something straight out of a movie and I cannot get enough of it!

Engagement sessions are some of my favorites, and Verene and Jake’s at the Rookery Building are no exception. I had so much fun with these two and am ecstatic with how their album came out!
